You know you want a beautiful wedding, but you’re overwhelmed with where to start.
You have a vision for your wedding, but not sure how to bring it all together.
As a former collegiate and Olympic athlete, I bring a unique and distinct set of skills and experiences to your wedding planning dreams. I know what commitment, vision and hard work look like and the same drive that took me to the Olympic Games will be the same drive and passion that I give to your wedding vision.
With over 15 years of experience in coordinating events, as both an Arizona wedding planner and a coordinator for collegiate and professional sports, I excel at understanding the logistics required to bring a skilled and dedicated team together that can execute each unique detail of your wedding day. As a designer, I look to create beautifully detailed and elegant weddings and events that will be remembered as timeless and true to who you two are as a couple.
At Shine Events, your wedding planning experience is my top concern (besides putting on a beautiful, amazing wedding of course!) With this in mind, I only accept a limited number of clients each wedding season. This allows me to devote more time and attention to each wedding, my brides, grooms and their families. You are more than just another wedding on the calendar and another client in my portfolio.
I was raised in Southern California on softball and old classic country music. I played softball at the University of Iowa where we won the Big Ten Conference (twice!), I was named BigTen Freshman of the Year, an NCAA All-American and played in the College World Series. From 2002 - 2007, I played for the Greek National Softball Team, including the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece and the 2006 World Championships in Beijing, China. I married my husband in 2007 and we have 3 children; Luke, Grace and Kate. I always thought I would be a college softball coach (or a CIA spy! Yes, I am totally serious!) and sometimes I can’t believe that I bring wedding dreams to life.
I teach strength and conditioning classes, including Olympic Lifting, because I love to help women of all ages learn how strong they are. I love Star Trek, dessert at any hour of the day and historical novels. Pearls are my favorite accessory and I dream of putting a batting lane in the backyard for the kids to take batting practice when they are older. (Ok, that’s weird, but I promise I’m not a crazy sports parent. Its just convenient.) We attend Redemption Church - Gateway Campus.
God is good, and life is crazy. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
A little about me
The truth is, we are only as good as those around us and these ladies are tops at bringing their A-Game to every wedding. I am extraordinarily grateful to have these women as a part of the Shine Events team.
